One slice of agate, marble, aventurine or rose quartz standing on its own edge, with the hands mounted straight into the stone and no frame around it. Sized for a desk, a shelf or a bedside table, and most of them will also take a wall fixing. Every clock runs a ticking quartz movement with hour and minute hands, on an AA battery, not included, and we do not offer a silent movement. Faces are cut from natural slabs, so the pattern behind the hands, the thickness and the exact outline change from one to the next.

Can a desk clock also go on the wall?

Most of them are made to do both, which is why they are listed as desk and wall clocks. Check the individual product page before you fix one up.

Does the clock need a stand to sit upright?

No. The stone is cut with a flat base so the slice stands on its own edge.

How loud is the movement?

It is an ordinary quartz tick, easy to hear in a still room and easy to lose under conversation. There is no version without it. It runs on an AA battery, not included.

How do I wipe down a stone clock face?

A dry soft cloth, worked around the hands rather than against them. Keep water and cleaners away from the spindle at the center.
