At a Glance
A round serving tray cut from real amethyst, ringed in electroformed metal and finished with your choice of four brass handle designs. Available in 12, 14 and 16 inch. It works as a bar tray, a coffee table catch all, or a centerpiece, and it is a natural fit for wedding registries and housewarmings.
The Piece
Amethyst runs cooler and quieter than most people expect. Look for soft purple and gray lavender through to dusty violet, with rust and ochre warmth where iron sits in the stone, and pale chevron banding inside the individual pieces. Each chunk is cut and set flush into a mosaic surface, so color shifts across the tray instead of repeating. This is natural stone rather than dyed glass, and it reads that way in daylight.
Made by Hand
The stone is cut piece by piece and fitted into a level serving surface. The rim is electroformed, which means real metal is grown directly onto the stone in your chosen finish and bonded to it, so it will not lift or flake at the edge. The handles are brass, in four designs. Classic Scroll is a slim S curve. Leaf Scroll adds a leafy foot to the same curve. Open Leaf fans out into a spray of open leaves. Laurel Arch is a horizontal bail with a laurel sprig and rounded ends.
