A wide, shallow fruit basket in worked metal, 16 inches across and 5.5 inches tall on small feet. The wall is open: twisting stems with small round flowers and pointed leaves worked along them, so the fruit shows from every side.
The stems are bent and joined by hand, and the gaps between them are wide, so what sits inside is part of the look rather than hidden by it. Gold and silver stay bright along the stems; antique brass settles darker in the hollows and lifts the flowers.

Every piece is finished by hand, so slight variation in the depth of the finish will occur.
Using It
Whole fruit goes straight in: apples, oranges, lemons, pears. Anything cut, peeled, sticky or damp needs a liner or a small dish set inside, because an open weave has no floor to catch a drip. Wipe with a soft dry cloth, or wash by hand and dry at once. Keep it out of the dishwasher.
