Optional. Draw or design your own plaque on paper and upload a photo or scan of it, as in the pictures, and we make it in your design with your words. A hand drawing, a photo or a computer-made image all work. Leave this empty and we make the design shown in the pictures with your words.

We make exactly what you type. Your wording is reproduced exactly as you enter it here, spelling, capitals and punctuation included. If you type in lower case, we set it in lower case. The wording in the photographs is only an example. A design preview is emailed for your approval before anything is made.

The Sign

A dense oval of leaves and scrollwork with a split pomegranate on one side, a whole fruit on the other, and a bud finial at the crown. Acanthus turns under the foot. Two lines: the number large in the middle, the house name beneath it.

Craftsmanship

Electroformed metal over a sculpted form, finished in antique brass. The lettering and the design stand off a dark textured ground at more than one height, so the piece reads as modeled rather than stamped. The metal is bonded to the surface rather than painted or plated, so there is nothing on it to chip, flake or peel.

Sealed under a UV-protective finish and weather-treated, so it holds its color outside, on a gatepost, a pillar or the wall by the door.

Personalization

The number and the house or street name are yours, as 27 and VILLA SERENA are in the pictures. Only the number is required. To have it in your own design, draw it on paper and upload a photo or scan with your order; leave that empty and we make the design shown, with your words. A design preview comes back by email, and once you approve it the sign leaves the workshop in five to seven business days.

Mounting

Three ways, chosen at checkout.

  • Keyhole slots: two screws in the wall, and it lifts off whenever you want to move it.
  • Peel-and-stick tape: sealed strips already on the back. Needs a smooth, clean, dry surface.
  • Floating stud mount: threaded studs stand it clear of the wall, so a shadow falls underneath.

Hardware and instructions are included.
