About the Agate
Gray agate bands in a narrow range and gets its interest from that restraint. Pale silver runs into dove, dove into charcoal, and thin white lines separate one band from the next, following the curve of the stone rather than cutting across it.
In daylight the lighter bands turn translucent and the edge of the slab glows, while the dense charcoal layers stay opaque. Crystal pockets can sit near the center, catching light at their own angle.
How It’s Made
One slab of gray agate, cut thick and left in its own irregular outline, forms the whole face at roughly 6" x 7", with the movement behind the stone. The edge is electroformed: metal is grown onto the stone until it has real thickness and is permanently bonded there, rather than laid over the surface as a coating that wears off. Silver keeps a cool stone monochrome; gold and rose gold warm it instead.

Mounting
The hook at the back hangs it from one nail or screw. The electroformed brass base is included at no extra cost, so the same clock can stand on a desk or a bookshelf instead.

Care
