The Plaque

A plain rectangle with no border and no motif, so the writing is the whole design. Your note is raised across a mottled antique brass ground, with the line breaks and spacing kept where they fell on the paper.

Craftsmanship

Electroformed metal over a sculpted form, finished in antique brass. The letters stand off a dark textured ground at more than one height, so the piece reads as modeled rather than stamped. The metal is bonded to the surface rather than painted or plated, so there is nothing on it to chip, flake or peel.

Sealed under a UV-protective finish, so it holds its color on an interior wall, a covered porch or in a sheltered corner of the garden.

Personalization

Photograph the note flat, in daylight, with all four edges in frame, and we follow your hand exactly. Or type it in up to four lines and it is set in the lettering shown. A note from a child, a line left on the kitchen table or a signature all work. If you want dates, write them into the note. A design preview comes back by email, and once you approve it the piece leaves the workshop in five to seven business days.

With no border, this design fits more writing per inch than the others. A four-line note sits comfortably at 7 x 5.

Mounting

Three ways, chosen at checkout.

  • Keyhole slots: two screws in the wall, and it lifts off whenever you want to move it.
  • Peel-and-stick tape: sealed strips already on the back. Needs a smooth, clean, dry surface.
  • Floating stud mount: threaded studs stand it clear of the wall, so a shadow falls underneath.
