About the Kambaba Jasper
Kambaba jasper is a dark green stone marked with black orbs and swirling rings, the remains of ancient algae colonies fossilized in silica. The pattern is its whole character: circles of every size crowded against one another with no repeat.
The green is deep and slightly murky rather than bright, and the stone is opaque all the way through. Polished, it takes a soft even shine that keeps the rings clearly drawn.
How It's Made
The jasper is cut long and narrow into the Barbarella handle and mounted vertically on brass fittings, 6" to 5.5" tall. Around the stone the metal is electroformed in thick metallic gold: it grows onto the jasper as a real layer and bonds permanently, so it does not lift or rub off the way a coating does. The two screws pass through the stone rather than clamping it from behind.

Fit and Installation
For cupboards, cabinets and drawers. The fixing is two screws of 5.08 cm (2"), set 4" (10cm) apart. Hand tighten them rather than driving them down, and even the pressure between the two.
Care
A soft dry cloth cleans the jasper. Household cleaners will dull both the stone and the grown-on metal.
