About the Agate
Dark green agate sits at the deep end of the color: pine and forest in the thick bands, near black where the stone is densest, with thin gray and white lines drawn between them. The bands run close together, so the pattern reads tight rather than sweeping.
In low light the plate looks almost solid. Bring it near a lamp and the paler lines lift out first, and the shallow edges turn a clear bottle green while the center stays dark.
How It’s Made
A rectangular tray, 10"x15", with plain modern handles fixed at each short end. The agate comes as pieces of similar tone joined with a clear epoxy resin poured over them to form one firm plate, so the top is flat and continuous. The whole stone edge is trimmed with electroformed brass: real metal grown onto the stone and permanently bonded rather than a leaf or coating that rubs away. The handles are solid brass.

Use and Care
Bring cheese, fruit or drinks to the table on it, keeping the food on a liner or board rather than against the stone. Wash by hand, dry with a soft cloth, and do not put it in the dishwasher.
