About the Agate
This is a larger piece of pink agate, and the extra width gives the banding room to show. The color builds from a chalky white near the middle out to rose and dusty mauve at the rim, each band a slightly different depth, with gray seams marking where one growth line stopped and the next began.
Where the agate opened during its formation there are small crystal pockets, and these hold the light in a face that is otherwise soft. Thin sections at the outer edge turn translucent near a lamp or a window.
How It’s Made
A single slab, thick and substantial, kept in the irregular shape the stone broke into rather than trimmed to a circle. Real metal is electroformed onto the edge, grown into place and permanently bonded so it cannot lift or rub off like a leaf or coating. Rose gold stays inside the pink and reads as one material, gold lifts the warmer bands, and silver plays against the gray seams. The hour and minute hands match the edging chosen.

Mounting
A sturdy hook at the back hangs it on a wall, and the electroformed brass base is included free of charge so it can stand on a table or a console.

Care
