About the Rose Quartz
Cut to an octagon, the rose quartz meets eight straight edges, and the pink is read against those clean lines rather than against a broken outline. The color is uneven in the way quartz always is, milky white through one part of the slab and a warmer rose through another.
The cut faces at the edge are where the stone gives most away: thin there, they take up light and turn translucent, while the center of the slab stays dense. Fine fractures inside the quartz flash briefly as the piece is moved.
How It’s Made
Eight cut sides make a compact, geometric face, a different proposition from the raw slabs. Metal is electroformed around the octagon, grown onto the stone and permanently bonded so the border has real thickness and no part of it can rub off, as a leaf or a coating would. Following eight angles keeps the rim crisp. Rose gold runs with the pink, gold warms it, and silver gives the geometry a harder line. The hour and minute hands match the edging chosen.

Mounting
It hangs from the sturdy hook fitted at the back. The electroformed brass base comes with it at no extra cost, so it can stand on a desk or a shelf.
