About the Amethyst
Amethyst is the purple form of quartz, colored by iron held in the crystal lattice. In a cluster the color is strongest at the tips of the points and fades toward the base, so one piece can run from near-white through lilac to a deep grape purple.
Left uncut, the points keep their natural faces and their glassy shine. Light goes into a crystal, bounces around inside it and comes back out, which is why a rough cluster looks brighter and busier than a polished slab of the same stone.
How It's Made
Each handle is a stainless steel rod with an amethyst cluster fixed at either end, so the steel carries the load and the stone does the gripping. The clusters are thickly electroformed where they meet the rod: real metal is grown onto the stone and bonds to it permanently, rather than sitting on top as a coating that can rub off. Each cluster is then screwed down tight onto the steel.

Every cluster is a different piece of stone, so no two handles in the set match exactly in shape, size or shade of purple.
Fit and Installation
These mount on a standard two-screw fixing at 101 mm / 4 inches hole to hole, which suits long drawer fronts, kitchen cabinets and wardrobe doors better than small cabinet doors. If a cluster works loose against the rod, turn it back down by hand.
Care
Wipe the steel with a soft dry cloth and keep household cleaners away from the amethyst points.
