A palm-sized bowl hollowed out of clear quartz, offered 2" or 3" across.
Clear quartz here is milky rather than see-through: a pale white-and-gray well with rust and warm pink patches drifting through it and small darker flecks caught in the stone. The inside is hollowed out and polished smooth; the outside is covered in a thick layer of metal, with patches of bare stone showing through, and the rim runs uneven.

Every piece uses natural stone, so slight variation in color, marking, shape and size will occur.
Using It
It takes rings, earrings and cufflinks on a dresser, paper clips on a desk, or a small handful of nuts on a side table. Dust with a dry cloth; wipe a spill with a barely damp one and dry the stone at once. Not for the dishwasher, and the metal will not rub off with handling.
A Good Gift For
A housewarming or a wedding registry. The pale stone suits a bathroom or a dressing table where a dark bowl would disappear.
