The Plaque
A stepped outline, the corners cut back in tiers the way old shop signage was cut, inside a plain raised border. No motif, no ornament. The writing runs across the open field and a narrow panel at the foot carries the dates.
Plainer than our other keepsake plaques, deliberately. When the words matter this much, nothing else should be competing with them.
Your handwriting, exactly
Photograph the note and we reproduce it as it is. Every join, every gap, the way the baseline drifts if it drifted. We do not tidy the writing up and we do not substitute a font. What was on the paper is what stands in the metal.
Craftsmanship
The strokes are grown in real copper and brass over a sculpted form. Writing and border are cut at their own heights, 2 to 5 mm off the ground, so the face is modeled rather than one flat step and each letter throws its own shadow. That shadow is what makes handwriting legible in metal, and it is why a printed or laser-etched sign never reads the same way. The plaque itself is 8 to 10 mm thick and solid through, with weight to it when you take it off the wall.

Notes from a parent. A recipe card in the hand that cooked from it. The last thing somebody wrote down. A message that only means anything to two people. It does not need to be neat; it needs to be theirs.
Personalization
The handwriting, and the panel at the foot. Most people put two years there. A name works too, or a single date, or nothing at all if you would rather leave it clean. Send the photograph taken flat and in daylight. You approve a digital preview before anything is made.
Built to last
UV-protected and weather-treated after finishing. Direct sun will not fade it and rain will not mark it, so it can go on a porch or in a sheltered spot outside as easily as indoors.

Two or three lines of writing sit well from 7 x 5 up. A longer note wants 8 x 8 or more so the lines are not crowded.
Mounting
Three ways, chosen at checkout.
- Keyhole slots: two screws, easiest to level.
- Peel-and-stick tape: sealed strips already applied, no holes in the wall.
- Floating stud mount: reinforced studs that stand it clear of the wall with no visible fixing.
Hardware and instructions are included with all three.
Where it works
A hallway, a bedroom, the wall beside a bed. Often it ends up somewhere private rather than in the main room, which is usually the right instinct.
