About the Aventurine
Aventurine carries tiny platelets of mica locked inside quartz, and those platelets catch the light as a soft scatter of glitter across the surface. Here the body color is a muted gray green, closer to sage than to emerald, broken by paler agate banding.
Tilt the stone and the shimmer travels over it, brightest where the mica lies flat. The thinner areas pass a little light; the denser gray green stays solid and matte.
How It’s Made
A small slab, about 4" across, kept in its natural irregular outline and cut thick for its size. Real metal is electroformed around the edge, grown onto the stone until it has thickness and permanently bonded there, rather than a leaf or coating that rubs off with handling. Silver holds the cool gray in the stone, gold lifts the green, and rose gold warms it; the hands are finished to match.

Mounting
At this size it belongs on a desk, a shelf or a nightstand, standing on the electroformed brass base included at no extra cost. The hook at the back lets it hang on a wall instead.
