About the Agate
The green in this panel is deep and slightly blue, the color of bottle glass held against a window, with chalky white banding crossing it in broad arcs. Some pieces run almost black at their darkest layer before opening back into green.
Agate is translucent where it is thin, and here that shows at the outer edge of each piece: the color lightens toward the join and then meets its neighbor, so the face is a run of small bright borders inside a dark field.
How It's Made
This is the large 10" x 15" size. Agate of similar tone is joined piece to piece, then clear epoxy resin poured over the top locks the panel together and levels the surface. Real metal is electroformed along the edge and permanently bonded to the stone, never a leaf or coating that wears away. Gold lifts a dark green and rose gold softens it, while silver keeps the cool blue note in the stone.

A Gift For
A green panel is often bought for a kitchen or a hallway, which makes it a natural housewarming or Christmas gift. It also works for an anniversary, and as a leaving present for someone whose next place is still being furnished.
Care
A soft dry cloth is enough for both the resin face and the electroformed edge. Cleaning sprays and polishes should not reach the surface.
