About the Metal
There is no stone in this one. It is electroformed metal all the way through: metal grown in a bath onto the form until it stands up on its own, which is what lets the leaf veins and the stem stay sharp instead of softening under a coating.
The finish decides how it reads. Gold catches a warm highlight along each raised vein, silver turns the same detail cool and bright, and antique settles darker in the recesses so the veining stands out in relief. All three keep the grain of the leaf visible from across a room.
How It's Made
The tray is shaped as a maple leaf, with realistic leaf texture, finely detailed veins and a stem left in place at one edge. It measures 8" across and stands 0.5" high, so it is shallow, a dish rather than a deep tray. There are no handles; the leaf outline is the shape you pick it up by.
