The Sign
An oval plaque lying on its side with a crown raised at the center, arches and orb picked out, and the initial set in a circle directly beneath it. The family name runs the long way across the oval, the bar line under it, the year at the foot.
Putting the crown and the monogram together at the middle rather than at the top is what makes this one work. It creates a proper centerpiece, and the lettering then arranges itself around it.
Craftsmanship
A crown is a test of relief, because the arches have to lift away from the band and the orb has to stand clear of the arches. All three are grown at separate heights over a sculpted core, spanning the full 2 to 5 mm range. The oval bead around the rim runs unbroken. The plaque is 8 to 10 mm thick and solid through.
Built to last
Sealed under a UV-protective finish. The crown catches the most light and the most dust, and the seal is what stops it dulling ahead of the rest of the sign.
Personalization
Family name, bar line, year, and one initial for the circle under the crown. The oval is wide and shallow, so the surname is set on a single line and it is worth reading it back to yourself at full length first. The renders show WHISKY, and WHISKEY is set on request. An emailed design preview comes before we begin.

Mounting
Pick one of three at checkout.
- Keyhole slots: cut into the back, two screws and done.
- Peel-and-stick tape: heavy sealed strips, applied here before it ships. Nothing to drill.
- Floating stud mount: studs that hold it clear of the wall, so the edge reads as a silhouette.
All three arrive with the fixings and a short instruction card.
Where it works
Above a doorway, over the back bar mirror, along the header of a run of cabinets. The landscape shape fits the wide shallow gaps that most signs cannot.

Dry cloth only, lightly. It does not want polishing and it does not want washing.
