The Sign
An oval plaque lying on its side, with a galloping horse sculpted above the field, all four legs off the ground and the tail streaming behind. The family name runs the long way across the oval, the bar line beneath it, and the initial sits in a small circle at the foot.
The landscape oval is an unusual shape for a bar sign and it is chosen for a reason: it gives a long surname room to run without being broken over two lines.
Craftsmanship
A galloping horse only works if the legs stay separate, so the animal is grown in copper and brass over a sculpted form with real space cut between the limbs. Horse, oval molding and lettering are set at three heights, all within 2 to 5 mm of the ground. The oval bead around the edge is raised as a continuous run rather than a series of segments. The plaque is 8 to 10 mm thick and solid through.
Built to last
UV-protective seal across the whole face. The brass holds its warmth under bar lighting and in daylight, and nothing in it can rust.
Personalization
Family name, bar line, year, and one initial for the circle beneath the horse. Because the oval is wide and shallow, the family name stays on one line, so it is worth checking how it reads in full before you send it. The renders show WHISKY; WHISKEY is set on request. A design preview is emailed for approval first.

Mounting
Three ways, chosen at checkout.
- Keyhole slots: two screws in the wall, simple to level.
- Peel-and-stick tape: sealed strips already fitted. No drilling, which matters on a tiled or paneled bar wall.
- Floating stud mount: reinforced studs that stand it off the wall so it throws its own shadow.
Hardware and instructions come with all three.
Where it works
Above a doorway, over a long low bar, in the gap above a run of wall cabinets where a tall sign will not fit. The horizontal shape suits places a portrait plaque cannot go.
Gifting

A dry cloth now and then. No polish, nothing abrasive, and nothing wet left on the dark ground.
