About the Agate
Pink agate ranges from a pale blush at the thin edges to a denser rose where the slab is thickest. The color comes in bands rather than one wash, and the banding tends to follow the outer edge, so the face carries a faint ring pattern with white and gray lines between the pink.
The stone is semi-translucent at the margins. In daylight those edges take up light and the banding reads through them; in room light the pink softens and the grain of the agate shows as fine texture.
How It's Made
A single irregular slab, thick and substantial, holding the outline the stone came with instead of being cut down to a regular shape. The edge is electroformed: real metal grown onto the agate and permanently bonded, with none of the risk of a leaf or coating that rubs off. Rose gold matches this stone closely and reads as one warm piece, gold gives the pink a brighter frame, and silver draws out the gray lines. The hands match the edging chosen.

Mounting
The hook at the back is sturdy enough for a wall. The electroformed brass base is provided at no extra cost and turns it into a desk or nightstand piece.

Care
