Three cheese knives with rust brown agate handles: a wide flat blade, a spreader and a two-prong fork. Stainless steel tools, stone handles.
This agate is a warm red brown, and its banding runs in straight parallel lines along the length of the handle with darker streaks through it, so at a glance it reads like timber rather than stone. The face is polished flat and the outline is long with the corners taken off. Each handle is held in a metal band whose inner edge is cut in a row of scallops where it grips the stone, and that band is the same on every piece.

- Handles: rust brown agate, warm red brown with straight banding

- Metal band around each handle, scalloped along its inner edge

Every piece uses natural stone, so slight variation in color, marking, shape and size will occur.
Using It
Put them out beside a cheese board: the wide flat blade cuts and lifts, the rounded one spreads, and the fork picks up the hard pieces. The steel is made for food; the handle is not, so keep it out of a long soak and do not leave food resting against it. Wash by hand and dry straight after. Never the dishwasher.
