Collection: Faceted & Cut Knobs

Stone cut with flat faces so it takes the light from several directions at once.

Two cuts sit in this group. The rounded ones are cut the way a gemstone is, with small faces worked all around a dome, so the knob flashes as you pass it. The rectangles are step cut, a flat top with straight sides falling away from it, which reads as quieter and squarer on the door. Stones are amethyst, hematite, black obsidian, labradorite, clear quartz, rose quartz, green fluorite and a green and white gemstone. A cut face shows the inside of the stone rather than its skin, so color here is deeper than on a slice of the same material.

Other shapes sit under Cabinet Knobs. Two-hole pulls are in Cabinet Handles.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the round cut and the rectangle?

The round ones are faceted all over a dome and catch light from any angle. The rectangles are step cut, with a flat top, and sit flatter and plainer against the door.

Is a faceted knob comfortable to hold?

Yes. The faces are worked smooth, with no sharp arris left on the edges.

Do the faces chip?

Stone dislikes a knock against another hard surface more than it dislikes use. On a cabinet door, where nothing strikes it, the faces stay as cut.
