Collection: Raw Stone Knobs

Uncut stone kept as it broke, with metal grown around the edge to hold it.

Nothing is cut here. A piece of crystal is chosen for its face, set on the fitting, and the metal is grown around whatever edge the break left. On the druzy and the amethyst geode the open face is a bed of small crystals, so the knob is coarse to the eye and fine to the touch at the same time. Clear quartz, rose quartz, moss agate, black obsidian and a deep pink crystal make up the rest. This is the group to choose when the door front is plain and the knob is meant to be the only thing happening on it.

Other shapes sit under Cabinet Knobs. Two-hole pulls are in Cabinet Handles.

Frequently asked questions

Will a raw knob feel sharp?

No. The broken edge is where the metal goes, so what your hand meets is the metal, not the stone edge.

How different are two knobs from the same listing?

Very. There is no cutting step to make them agree, so size, face and depth of color all move.

What is druzy?

A pocket in the stone lined with small crystals. Cut it open and the face is a field of points rather than a flat surface.
