A round decorative tray in worked metal, its whole face worked as open filigree.
The pattern is a run of scrolls and loops with the spaces between them open, so the tray reads as line rather than surface. Gold keeps the scrollwork bright; the two-tone finish darkens part of it and leaves the rest pale.
