About the Rose Quartz
Rose quartz brings a clouded pink that is never quite even: some areas are almost white, others deepen to a dusty rose, and fine internal veils give the stone its milky look instead of a clear one. Agate sits alongside it, banded and firmer in tone.
Where the quartz is thin it glows softly and the pink warms; where the agate bands run they stay defined and hold their line. The two materials keep the face from settling into one color and give it a slow gradient across the panel.
How It's Made
Stones of similar tone are joined and clear epoxy resin is poured over them, setting the 10" x 15" panel into one firm level face. Electroformed metal edges it, grown onto the stone until it has real thickness and bonded permanently rather than laid on as a coating. Rose gold is the obvious companion to a pink stone; gold is warmer still, and silver keeps the pink cool and pale.
