About the Rose Quartz

The pink in rose quartz comes from microscopic mineral fibers spread through the quartz, which is why the color looks like it is suspended in the stone rather than sitting on it. The effect is cloudy and slightly hazy, closer to frosted glass than to a gemstone.

Rose quartz breaks along no clean plane, so a cut slab shows swirls and faint internal fractures that catch light from the side. Color strength varies within a single piece, from a pale wash to a saturated pink.

How It’s Made

This is a small table with the top cut from one piece of rose quartz, the edge left as the stone gave it rather than trimmed to a shape. Metal is electroformed onto that raw edge, grown in a bath until it stands as metal with its own thickness, bonded to the quartz and not applied as a finish over it. The legs are electroformed to match. Rose gold reads as an extension of the stone, silver sharpens it, gold turns the whole piece warmer.

Slight variation in natural stone will occur, and the density of the pink is never the same twice.

Assembly

The legs are removable and the table is easily assembled on delivery. The top ships as one piece with the legs packed beside it; they fix underneath and unfix again for a move or flat storage.

Care
