About the Agate
White agate is the same banded chalcedony as its colored cousins with the pigment left out. Its layers move between chalk white, cream and a translucent gray, and the pattern is read through contrast in clarity rather than contrast in color.
That makes light do most of the work. Set the thin part of the slab near a window and the bands separate into distinct rings; in flat room light the top reads as a single soft white surface.
How It’s Made
The top is a single piece of white agate with the stone's own edge kept intact, so the outline is irregular and belongs to that slab. Electroformed metal is grown onto the edge in a bath until it has real thickness and is bonded to the agate, never a leaf or coating over the top of it. The legs are electroformed in the same finish. Gold against white agate is the warmest of the three, silver the most neutral, and rose gold puts a faint blush at the edge.

Slight variation in natural stone will occur, so the banding and the degree of translucency differ across tops.
Assembly
The legs are removable and the table is easily assembled on delivery. The slab and the legs are packed apart from each other, the legs fix to the underside, and they come off again when the table is moved.

White agate is the least committal stone in the range, which is what makes it a dependable wedding or housewarming gift when the recipient's rooms are unknown. It also works for a retirement or a client gift.
Care
Dust with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Blot any spill at once with a paper towel and wipe dry to avoid staining, and do not use chemical cleaners on the stone.
